Transportation Services has received approval to utilize Federal Transit Administration <br /> (FTA) 5307 grant reimbursement funds to construct new bus shelters at the Orange County <br /> North Campus facility, Hillsborough Library and Fairview Community Center. These <br /> shelters will be funded with $100,000 in Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) funds <br /> and $25,000 in County funding. The County funding portion will be transferred from <br /> unspent operations budget in the Transportation Services Department. The NC Department of Public Safety has awarded the Orange County Local Reentry <br /> Council (LRC) in CJRD new funds in the amount of $25,000. This is the second $25,000 <br /> legislative funding award toward this project. These direct funds have been deposited <br /> pursuant to a legislative mandate in NC Senate Bill 105. These funds are to be used to <br /> provide additional support services to LRC clients. This amends the following grant <br /> ordinance in the Multi-Year Grant Fund, outside of the General Fund. <br />
