The assessment <br /> 9 identified that a significant portion of County owned facilities will be nearing the end of their useful <br /> 10 lifespan within the next five to ten years. Some of the buildings nearing the end of their useful life <br /> 11 include: <br /> 12 <br /> 13 • Central Recreation Center <br /> 14 • District Attorney Building <br /> 15 • Efland Cheeks Community Center <br /> 16 • EM — Station #1 (will be transitioning to new Waterstone EM facility) <br /> 17 • Old Environment &Agriculture Center (EAC) <br /> 18 • Old Jail <br /> 19 • Southern Human Services Center <br /> 20 • Whitted Building A— Health Department <br /> 21 <br /> 22 A copy of the Executive Summary of the Facilities Condition Assessment is included as <br /> 23 Attachment#1. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 The Space Planning phase identified an additional 111,891 Departmental Gross Square Feet <br /> 26 (DGSF) of space needed by 2040. This translates into a Gross Square Foot (GSF) need of <br /> 27 156,732 by the year 2040.
