Additionally, this year’s
Community Impact Award will allow us to kickstart the Chapel Hill Freedom School,
after a successful initial pilot in 2021. This new summer program engages high
school students in critical thinking and peer-to-peer learning around racism, equity,
and local history. Funds will also empower our Community Advocacy Specialist, a
long-term resident who leads Keeping Your House A Home, to connect over 103
low-income community elders with critical home repairs, housing retention tools, and
land-loss prevention programs.
DocuSign Envelope ID: 453E455B-EB8F-4C63-A66F-89BF3CD9DE40
