accustomed to doing what DOT requires us to do. If they said we needed to install a turn lane or a stoplight,we'd have to
do that. All that was required of us was to...I know you brought up the idea of the right turn lane a couple of times, it's not
on 54, I just wanted to be clear, it's on White Cross Rd.,for the stacking, so the cars don't stack up into the highway.

Beth Bronson-To be clear, there's already a right-hand turn lane on 54 to get into White Cross...

George Barnes- Right.

Beth Bronson-So you would be going from one right hand turn lane to a right-hand turn lane to get into the
establishment?

George Barnes-Yes.

Beth Bronson- I think I'm clarifying that the right-hand turn lane that exists already on 54 is not even 100 feet. So,the
one that's being required for the retail space that needs 34 parking spots versus the highway that services over 2,000
cars at peak, only has a 50-foot right hand turn lane.

Charity Kirk-What would you suggest? Do you have a suggestion?

Beth Bronson-To the point of the previous public comment of understanding better what our comprehensive plan is
going to be for how 54 is going to be developed. How the intersection for a rural activity node is going to be developed. I
have issues with the existing assessment of what is necessary and what the requirements are I think, Yeah. does that
make sense?

Charity Kirk-You're suggesting to table this, until 54 is reviewed or are you suggesting they add a stoplight?

Delores Bailey-Point of order, did we finish the public comments?
Overlapping conversations

Adam Beeman-He was the last person to speak.
Overlapping conversations-loud murmurs from the audience.
Beth Bronson- I apologize, I wanted to make sure that I was asking the applicant a question...
Overlapping conversations

John Cecil- I have been a resident of White Cross for 52 years. I grew up there, it's my home, I'm not against
development, I feel like the retail establishment that is being planned there is going to service a totally different
demographic of our community than what is existing and being served by Bravo's Market. I shop at Bravo's Market, I will
continue to shop at Bravo's Market for those fresh goods. I haven't been in a retail establishment like the one that's
being planned for there, that sells those types of retail goods. Will it take some away from some of the convenience
stores? I'm certain it will. From the local establishment such as Bravo's Market, it's two totally different demographics
that it's going to serve.

Charity Kirk-So are you for it or against it?

John Cecil- I am for rezoning for a retail establishment.

Susan Walser-Hi I'm Susan Walser and I too have concerns about the traffic. I use the stoplight at Dodson's Crossroads
on 54 all the time and it's an uncomfortable situation. I don't go into that intersection even though I have a green light,
because people disobey the red light on 54.Twice, people have blown through the red light when I've gotten partially into
that intersection. So, 54 is not a safe road and with the increased traffic, that's coming from between Chapel Hill and
Alamance County all the time, it's a concern. I'm concerned if I go to Fiesta Grill and turn left to go back home if it's
during rush hour. It can take an awful long time to get out of there with people coming and going and if people are going
to turn left out of White Cross to go back west when through with their shopping at a retail establishment, I can't imagine
the backup of traffic that can happen. If they don't have a reasonable way to turn, I think there needs to be a stop light at
White Cross. If a retail establishment is going to get approved there is going to be one needed, otherwise, I think it's
