She said <br /> 7 the community has a great reputation for being involved. <br /> 8 Commissioner Greene said the county has strong management. She said the community <br /> 9 is progressive and pushes the government to do good things and to help, such as social justice, <br /> 10 broadband, and a climate action plan. <br /> 11 Vice-Chair McKee said the community is engaged and informed. He said the county has <br /> 12 the resources to provide services and a good reputation. <br /> 13 Chair Bedford said the community values education and helping the planet. She said that <br /> 14 the community has good healthcare resources and arts programming. She said county <br /> 15 government has capable staff, transparent operations, service-focused departments, and <br /> 16 department directors work together. <br /> 17 Commissioner Richards said the county has professional management. She said the <br /> 18 community is committed and has a strong business sector. <br /> 19 Commissioner Fowler said the community is highly-educated and a large majority of <br /> 20 residents are self-sufficient. She said there are lots of resources for advisory boards. She said <br /> 21 the community is a mix of suburban and rural. She said the community is diverse and engaged. <br /> 22 She said the county has a well-organized budget and departments have SMART goals. <br /> 23 Commissioner Hamilton said many residents have monetary and time resources to be <br /> 24 engaged. She said county government has dedicated staff and comprehensive services. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 WEAKNESSES: <br /> 27 Commissioner Portie-Ascott said a weakness is a lack of affordable housing. She said <br /> 28 the county has disparities in the education system. <br /> 29 Commissioner Greene said there is a lack of money to do all of the things we want to do. <br /> 30 She said she thinks that the county does not communicate well with residents. <br />
