40 <br /> Kimley>Morn White Cross Retail—Orange County, NC <br /> 2.0 Inventory <br /> 2.1 Study Area <br /> The study area includes the following intersections: <br /> • NC 54—White Cross Road <br /> • White Cross Road—Site Driveway(proposed) <br /> Figure 2.1 shows the site location. <br /> 2.2 Existing Conditions <br /> The proposed White Cross Retail development is located in the southwest quadrant of the NC 54 <br /> —White Cross Road intersection in Orange County, North Carolina. Significant roadways in the <br /> study area include NC 54 and White Cross Road. Figure 2.2 shows the existing roadway laneage. <br /> NC 54 is a two-lane undivided road with a posted speed limit of 55 miles per hour in the vicinity <br /> of the site. NCDOT reports that the 2018 average daily traffic (ADT)volume was approximately <br /> 11,500 vehicles per day(vpd)west of White Cross Road. <br /> White Cross Road is a two-lane undivided road with an assumed speed limit of 50 miles per hour <br /> south of NC 54. The 2015 NCDOT ADT volume was approximately 1,100 vpd south of NC 54. <br /> 2 <br />
