This proposal is based on the conceptual kiosk plan <br />(attached) that was reviewed earlier by the Committee. <br /> <br />I understand the target budget for Phase 3 is approximately $70,000 for the proposed <br />construction elements, dependent on the ability to raise the necessary funds.. <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br /> <br />Phase 3 will consist of a permanent covered kiosk to replace the temporary kiosk in the same <br />location. The permanent kiosk will be constructed in a traditional design using elements that <br />echo the existing plaza and will have a roof, paved floor, lighting, seating, space for graphic <br />signage, and an electronic kiosk with database information about the Orange County veterans. <br /> <br />A. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT and CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS <br />I will assist with the following tasks: <br />▪ Design work session with the Veterans Memorial Committee to confirm details and selection <br />of materials for design development level plans, and a general consensus meeting to <br />confirm the construction drawing plans prior to going out for bid. <br />▪ Research and assemble proposed materials for the structure, pavement surfaces, electronic <br />kiosk, lighting, seating, and other hardscape elements. <br />▪ Preparation of construction plans and a preliminary cost estimate.The plans will show details <br />and section elevations, and a materials plan for detail elements, with precedent photos. <br /> <br />B. CONTRACTOR SELECTION AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION <br />The proposed construction cost will necessitate a contractor bidding process.
