Our climate action <br /> planning is supported by the following resolutions adopted by the Board of <br /> County Commissioners in recent years: <br /> • June 6, 2017: Resolution of Commitment to Uphold the Paris Climate <br /> Agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions between 26 and 28 <br /> percent by 2025 from 2005 levels. <br /> • September 12, 2017 Orange County adopts a resolution to transition <br /> to 100% renewable energy sources by 2050. <br /> • June 5, 2018 Orange County became a signatory to the Global <br /> Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, thereby pledging to <br /> reduce greenhouse gasses, increase our resiliency to climate <br /> change, and track progress transparently. <br /> Our Climate Action Plan mission and vision statement lays the foundation <br /> of the work and addresses the purpose of the climate action plan and our <br /> aspirations for the future.
