The RECIPIENT/SUBGRANTEE's application for funds to the <br />State for funding consideration under the FEMA Hazard Mitigation <br />Grant Program is made a part of this Agreement by reference. <br /> <br />6. RECIPIENT/SUBGRANTEE shall establish and maintain a proper <br />accounting system to record expenditures of disaster assistance <br />funds in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles <br />or as directed by the Governor’s Authorized Representative. The <br />RECIPIENT/SUBGRANTEE, its employees, and agents, shall <br />maintain records and supporting documents as prescribed in 44 <br />CFR Part 13, Subpart C “Reports, Records Retention and <br />Enforcement” for awards prior to December 26, 2014, 2 C.F.R. Part <br />200, and 9 NCAC Part 3M. These records shall be maintained at a <br />readily accessible site within the jurisdiction and under the <br />jurisdiction's control. <br /> <br />7. Program Income is defined in 44 CFR Section 13.25 for awards <br />prior to December 26, 2014 and 2 C.F.R. Part 200. Program <br />Income must be returned to the AGENCY/ GRANTEE within five <br />(5) days of receipt, to the following address: <br /> <br />Controller <br />N.C. Department Public Safety <br />4220 Mail Service Center <br />Raleigh, NC 27699-4220 <br /> <br />8. All RECIPIENT/SUBGRANTEE or sub-RECIPIENT/ <br />SUBGRANTEE contracts for which the N.C. Legislature is in any <br />part a funding source, shall contain language to provide for <br />termination with reasonable costs to be paid by the RECIPIENT/ <br />SUBGRANTEE for eligible contract work completed prior to the <br />date the notice of suspension or termination is received by the <br />RECIPIENT/SUBGRANTEE may not be funded with funds <br />provided under this Agreement unless previously approved in <br />writing by the AGENCY/GRANTEE.
