I have made it my life's work to help preserve the <br /> heritage roots of America. Helping preserve the heritage of my county in its historic structures is <br /> my civic duty and favorite contribution I can make to give back to the community. <br /> Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br /> For the time I have served on this board, I have led its efforts to find qualified, interested <br /> individuals from every corner of our society to serve. Our lack of success at finding folks of <br /> various minorities and backgrounds is disappointing and somewhat reflects the slow involvement <br /> by minorities in Historic Preservation and with backgrounds required to serve on this <br /> commission. Recently the Indigenous and black descendants of early Orange County residents <br /> are finding the time and inclination to become more involved in Historic Preservation (note <br />
