We have been the Designated County Partner (DCP) of the North <br /> Carolina Arts Council in Orange County since 1985 and are responsible for sub-granting state and <br /> county funds to arts organizations, schools and artists throughout the county. <br /> What are your Board/Commission's most important accomplishments? <br /> • Provided resources to aid arts industry related to the COVID-19 pandemic: <br /> o Partnered with arts councils in Durham, Wake, and Chatham counties to present Big <br /> Night In for the Arts on March 10 on WRAL, raising $200k for arts programs across the <br /> Triangle. <br /> • Completed first year of operations at the Eno Arts Mill, providing arts space for artists and <br /> community that prioritizes accessibility and inclusion. <br /> 0 44% of artist tenants identify as a member of a marginalized community. 38%of tenants <br /> are people of color. <br /> o The Eno Arts Mill has allowed the OCAC to forge new relationships with organizations <br /> in our community. The Art Therapy Institute established a Hillsborough office in the Eno <br /> Arts Mill and has offered programs including free kids' activities during our First Fridays <br /> openings, and camps and classes taught by ATI staff, including a LGBTQ Teen Arts <br /> Collective. The mill has provided the Orange County Artists Guild a home for two annual <br /> shows in December and May. In addition, the OCAC has collaborated with the <br /> Department of Housing on two exhibits and hosted a departmental meeting in the <br /> gallery. <br />
