Many months <br /> have seen greater than 100% increase in revenues. <br /> • Creating marketing programs placed through NC, VA and SC that tell <br /> travelers about restaurants, new hotels, nightclubs, retail and outdoor <br /> space that is ideal for a getaway. <br /> • Supporting the arts through funding. <br /> • Developing diversity programming through new program: <br /> Explored iversitync.com <br /> • Operating a walk-in Visitors Center open six days a week, serving visitors <br /> and making important business referrals. <br /> • Managing data that assists area partners, developers and local residents <br /> that gives monthly performance metrics of taxes and revenues generated; <br /> peak visitation periods, Airbnb supply and demand and peak days of <br /> visitation. <br /> • Collaborating monthly with a diverse board that includes members of the <br /> business, government and hospitality industry in: Chapel Hill, Carrboro, <br /> Hillsborough, UNC and private sector. <br /> • Producing annual maps, publications and seasonal guides requested by <br /> visitors. <br /> List of Specific Tasks, Events, or Functions Performed or Sponsored Annually. <br /> • Generating leads and prospects for area hotels and facilities that help fill <br /> gaps and bring new business to Orange County. <br /> • Sponsoring major events such as Uproar, Film Festival, Kidzu children's <br /> exhibits, Black Alumni Reunion, NAACP, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, <br /> FestiFall, Downtown Partnership events. The Visitors Bureau writes weekly <br /> newsletters on happenings in Orange County. <br /> • Monthly newsletters include: Orange Slices, Check-It-Out event <br /> happenings; By the Numbers monthly metrics report on industry recovery. <br />
