Public Hearings <br /> a. 5311 Rural Area Formula Grant and Combined Capital Program (5311/5339) Grant for FY <br /> 2024 <br /> The Board conducted a public hearing on the 5311 Administrative grant application and the <br /> Combined Capital grant application for FY 2024; approved the 5311 Administrative grant <br /> application and the Combined Capital grant application; approved the Program Resolution <br /> (Attachment 1) and Local Share Certification (Attachment 2); and approved the annual master <br /> documents (Attachment 3). <br /> BACKGROUND: Each year, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) <br /> Integrated Mobility Division (IMD) accepts requests for capital, operations and administrative <br /> needs for county-operated transit programs. The <br /> funds additionally support a system that enhances the access of residents in the non-urbanized <br /> areas to health care, shopping, education, employment, public services, and recreation. <br /> TRANPORTATION ADVISORY SERVICE (TAS) Action: <br /> The TAS met on Thursday, January 26, 2023 and unanimously recommended approval. <br /> Orange Unified Transportation Board (OUTBoard) Action: <br /> The OUTBoard met on Thursday, January 26, 2023 and unanimously recommended approval. <br /> Nish Trivedi, Transportation Services Director reviewed the background information for <br /> the item. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner Richards, to <br /> open the public hearing. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> No one was signed up to speak. <br />
