Following the event, University <br /> Baptist Church sent Orange County Finance & Administrative Services a check in the <br /> amount of$5,000 as a donation to SOHRAD to assist with medication and harm reduction <br /> needs for SOHRAD clients and individuals experiencing homelessness. These funds will <br /> be received in the Community Development Fund, outside of the General Fund. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND <br /> INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br /> or economic status. <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There are no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impacts associated with these items other than as noted otherwise above. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds in FY 2022-23 and increases <br /> the General Fund by $75,000, the County Capital Fund by $130,000, the Community <br /> Development Fund by $5,000 and the County Capital Reserve Fund by $250,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the budget, grant, and <br /> capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year 2022-23. <br />
