RES - 2023 - 012 �" j <br /> RESOLUTION OF AMENDMENT <br /> A RESOLUTION AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE ORANGE COUNTY CODE <br /> OF ORDINANCES <br /> Be it Resolved and Ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Orange County , North Carolina : <br /> WHEREAS , the Board of Commissioners has determined , upon recommendation of the Animal <br /> Services Advisory Board and Animal Services Director , that modifications to multiple sections of the <br /> Animal Control Ordinance are necessary ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Board of Commissioners has determined changes should be made involving , <br /> among other things , what constitutes wild animals , the definition of what constitutes wild and <br /> dangerous animals , updates to violations and civil penalties regarding wild and wild and dangerous <br /> animals , updates to exemptions , and updates to what constitutes serious physical harm to humans <br /> and animals . <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED , that the Code of Ordinances , Orange County , North <br /> Carolina , Chapter 4 , is hereby amended by amending sections § 4 - 37 , § 4 - 131 through § 4 - 134 , § 4 - <br /> 181 through § 4 - 186 which amended sections read as shown in the attached revised Ordinance . <br /> This Amendment shall become effective upon adoption . <br /> Adopted by the Orange County Board of Commissioners this 21 St day of February , 2023 . <br /> By : Attest : <br /> Ja etta edford , C it Laura Jens , Clerk to the Board <br /> m <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 17 p - � <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> i <br />
