Closed Session <br /> A motion was made by Chair Bedford, seconded by Commissioner Fowler, to enter in to <br /> closed session at 9:01 p.m. pursuant to North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.11(a)(3) "to <br /> consult with an attorney retained by the Board in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege <br /> between the attorney and to discuss the potential settlement of the national opioid litigation as it <br /> relates to Defendants CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Teva, and Allergan" and, pursuant to North <br /> Carolina General Statute § 143-318.11(a)(6) "to consider the qualifications, competence, <br /> performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of <br /> an individual public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee" and to approve <br /> closed session minutes. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Richards, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> reconvene into regular session at 9:27 p.m. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 14.
