She said the newsletter will come out every quarter. She
said she hopes to do more this coming year with social media and to tell the story of the grant
dollars in action.
Commissioner Richards said she is wondering how to get the word out so that the
applicants are more diverse.
Amy Eckberg said that she will continue to work on that in consultation with the marketing
team.
Commissioner Fowler asked how the habitat and weatherization decisions for funding
were made.
Amy Eckberg said the advisory boards reviewed the previous funding and noted that
Rebuilding Together of the Triangle had received over$100,000 each year for two previous years
and the organization is still spending down the balance.
Commissioner Hamilton said she appreciates the presentation and said it's becoming
clearer each year. She asked if there is a way this can include an estimate of how the funds
reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Amy Eckberg said yes and that a lot of projects haven't come full circle. She said it's
currently difficult to estimate greenhouse gas emissions reduced, but as the program continues,
it will be easier. She said there are estimates on the applications, but since the projects aren't
finished, she's hesitant to share the data.
Commissioner Hamilton said it would be interesting to see the estimate compared to the
actuals and she would like to see those.
Chair Bedford said she sent emails with three questions. She said she asked about the
203 Solar Project.
