Closed Session <br /> 9 A motion was made by Chair Bedford, seconded by Commissioner Fowler, to enter in to <br /> 10 closed session at 9:01 p.m. pursuant to North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.11(a)(3) "to <br /> 11 consult with an attorney retained by the Board in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege <br /> 12 between the attorney and to discuss the potential settlement of the national opioid litigation as it <br /> 13 relates to Defendants CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Teva, and Allergan" and, pursuant to North <br /> 14 Carolina General Statute § 143-318.11(a)(6) "to consider the qualifications, competence, <br /> 15 performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of <br /> 16 an individual public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee" and to approve <br /> 17 closed session minutes. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 20 <br /> 21 A motion was made by Commissioner Richards, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> 22 reconvene into regular session at 9:27 p.m. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 25 <br /> 26 14.
