This is a unique opportunity. <br />☒ Unknown (please describe): This project is a unique opportunity <br />for Orange County to support The ArtsCenter’s renovation project <br />and to ensure that green initiatives are incorporated. Installation of <br />a photovoltaic system will not only significantly offset The <br />ArtsCenter’s utility costs, but also, through Net Metering, a utility <br />billing system, The ArtsCenter, would receive credit on its monthly <br />electric bills for the excess electricity it adds to the grid. These <br />credits will be a source of revenue for The ArtsCenter. While The <br />ArtsCenter is in the middle of a capital campaign to raise funds for <br />the entire project, no assurance can be made that the funds raised <br />will be enough to cover this desired upgrade. Unfortunately, since <br />2020, the cost of construction has shot up dramatically and most <br />likely, The ArtsCenter will not raise enough funds to cover this <br />project without the investment from the county. <br /> <br />12.
