Alcoholic Beverage Control Board —Appointment Discussion <br /> The Board considered an appointment to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board has the authority to buy, sell, transport <br /> and possess alcoholic beverages for the operation of its stores. Closed Session <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Vice Chair McKee, to enter <br /> into closed session at 8:51 p.m. pursuant to North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.11(a)(5) <br /> "to discuss the County's position and to instruct the County Manager and County Attorney on the <br /> negotiating position regarding the terms of a contract to purchase real property" and to approve <br /> closed session minutes. <br />
