12 <br />3 <br />Months Summit has an extensive construction administration program that we have developed over the years to respond to various projects, and we have the capacity to keep several projects running concurrently. <br />Construction Administration <br />Communication during construction is key, just as it is throughout the entire design process. Our <br />construction administration team has experience providing representation and leadership for all types of <br />projects: vertical, horizontal, residential and commercial. We work with a wide variety of clients to include: <br />counties, municipalities, schools, developers, non-profit organizations and individuals owners. Our priority <br />is to work closely with project team members to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget <br />and to the client’s satisfaction. Periodic check in meetings that occurred during design simply continue with <br />the addition of our new partner. This allows all parties to properly understand what they expect of each <br />other, ensuring smooth construction. For quality of life projects, providing a platform to inform the public <br />of construction progress will reduce the direct inquiries to County staff and assist in managing stakeholders <br />including business’ owners temporarily impacted by construction activities. In addition, it can be used to <br />educate the public on special features or methods designed into the project related to sustainability, resource <br />conservation, and accessibility. Lastly, it can be used to build anticipation of the future user group which <br />results in increased use of the completed project at the ribbon cutting and beyond. <br />Communication doesn’t only come in one form. Physical meetings are important, but conversing through <br />RFI’s, submittals, and change orders are all vital to the overall success of construction. Documentation of <br />the project through site observation allows all stakeholders to see a snapshot of the project and understand <br />its progression and highlight any deficiencies. <br />CEI Inspection <br />2-5 <br />Months <br />Summit offers comprehensive management and <br />inspection services for highway and rail construction <br />and highway maintenance operations.Our managers, <br />engineers, and designers have served NCDOT in the <br />positions of Division Construction Engineer, Roadway <br />Project Design Engineer, Hydraulic Project Design <br />Engineer, Area Roadway Engineer, Resident Engineer <br />and District Engineer. This collective and comprehensive <br />experience in project delivery yields the fundamental <br />principle of our project philosophy - “Designing for <br />Constructibility and Serviceability: ‘Summit has a team <br />of managers and engineers throughout the state whose <br />primary responsibility is to manage our CEI program. <br />These managers recruit and place qualified inspectors <br />and engineers to meet the needs of our clients.
