This position would provide <br /> expertise in such transitional efforts, especially as they may relate to <br /> meeting citizen needs through eGovernment initiatives. <br /> IS Support Call Taker <br /> Purpose: <br /> • Answer internal County staff service calls made to the Support Desk. <br /> • Maintain the countywide equipment asset inventory and assist with <br /> ordering, receiving, and maintenance of spare systems, components, and <br /> tools. <br /> • As the IS Department moves beyond the network and desktop foundation <br /> efforts of the IT Plan into legacy systems and Internet/Web enhancements <br /> to systems, more rigorous project management would be necessary to <br /> ensure that project timelines remain on target. This position would provide <br /> administrative support to ongoing management activities. <br /> • Contracting out for this function does not allow for the person performing <br /> this function to develop additional skills or to become familiar with County <br /> departments and staff. <br /> 7 <br />
