Our dedicated <br />team of 20+ healthcare planners and architects <br />across North Carolina have experience working <br />on Behavioral projects across the state—where we <br />are influencing and changing patient environments <br />through evidence based design. We boast 30+ years’ <br />experience working with DHSR’s planning and <br />construction division, and we understand the rules <br />and regulations under which these projects will be <br />reviewed. <br />Considerations <br />The design of Crisis Diversion Facilities must be <br />flexible and adaptable to acknowledge that our <br />understanding of mental and behavioral health will <br />continue to evolve and change the way we design. <br />From the plan layout, down to the electrical outlets <br />that are specified, the entire design needs to be <br />cohesive. Details matter. <br />In order to offer patients the sense of privacy <br />and security, thoughtful program consideration <br />will need to be given to private versus shared <br />rooms, community areas, accessibility to staff, and <br />openness of the environment. <br />Engaging the community, local hospitals, and <br />law enforcement agencies can go a long way in <br />promoting a successful design of these types of <br />facilities—ensuring care begins before a patient <br />walks through the doors. <br />CPL CREATIVE LABS <br />Our team leverages state-of- <br />the-art technology to better <br />serve our clients. <br />The CPL team utilizes BIM in conjunction with industry <br />standard A/E applications such as 3D Studio Max, <br />Sketch Up Pro, Lumion, Enscape and Adobe Creative <br />Suite in order to generate presentation graphics and <br />renderings. These are used to demonstrate potential <br />design solutions using the same model that will be <br />used to generate the construction documents and <br />pricing documents. These engaging applications allow <br />the client and user to be involved in the creation and <br />development of the project design. <br />We offer programs such as Mixed Reality, Renderings/ <br />Animations and Reality Capturing capabilities. <br />• Mixed Reality – Whether it be virtual (VR) or <br />augmented reality (AR) these tools allow us to <br />immerse our clients into the project early on <br />• Renderings/Animations – As another means of <br />project visualization our team uses a multitude of <br />tools to produce renderings or animations to fit the <br />project needs <br />• Reality Capturing – Whether it be drones or <br />laser scanning, accurately capturing the physical <br />environment of any given site is important to project <br />success.
