She said an 11-member council was a more <br />manageable size. <br /> Commissioner Richards asked if it is saying take the elected members out. <br /> Commissioner Greene said no. <br /> Commissioner Richards asked if the recommendations of the executive committee were <br />voted upon. <br /> Ashley Heger said that the way the council operates is through a consensus-based <br />model, but the elected officials retain majority power, and these recommendations were voted <br />upon unanimously. <br /> Chair Price said they would not vote on it at the work session. <br /> Commissioner Bedford thanked Ashley Heger for providing the minutes of the Food <br />Council. She asked why they moved to every other month meetings. <br /> Ashley Heger said that was considered before COVID. She said by engaging so much, <br />the volunteers’ capacity was stretched. She said that it was an opportune time to go to bi-
