The Board specifically discussed <br /> Gayane Chambless for this position during the October 25, 2022 Work Session, but did not reach <br /> consensus. <br /> Tara May introduced the item. <br /> Chair Price said that earlier in the day Tara May sent an email regarding the length of <br /> partial terms. <br /> Tara May said that if someone is suggested for a one or two year term, after the partial <br /> term expires, they are eligible for two further full terms, so they could potentially serve 7 or 8 years <br /> total. She said the Board ultimately decides the expiration dates for each appointee. <br /> Tara May clarified that the consent agenda item related to the Opioid Advisory Committee <br /> was related to the addition of a representative from the Department on Aging to be designated by <br /> the County Manager. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee to appoint Gayane Chambless for the <br /> remaining At-Large/Flex position. Chair Price seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Ayes, 2 (Chair Price and Commissioner McKee); Nays, 5 (Commissioner Fowler, <br /> Commissioner Greene, Commissioner Hamilton, Commissioner Bedford, Commissioner <br /> Richards) <br />
