Planning Calendar for August and September <br /> 28 b. Countywide Strategic Plan and Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Tom Altieri updated the Board on the Countywide Strategic Plan the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and advised a <br /> 31 consultant may be on board by the end on the year to begin work on the Strategic Plan early next year. Additionally, a <br /> 32 resolution of intent for the Comprehensive Land Use Plan update is going forward to the BOCC on October 18, 2022. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 <br /> 35 AGENDA ITEM 3: APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> 36 September 7, 2022 Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> 37 <br /> 38 MOTION BY Randy Marshall to approve the September 7, 2022 Regular Meeting Minutes. Seconded by Beth Bronson. <br /> 39 MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY <br /> 40 <br /> 41 <br /> 42 AGENDA ITEM 4: CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONS TO AGENDA. <br /> 43 There were none <br /> 44 <br /> 45 <br /> 46 AGENDA ITEM 5: PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> 47 <br /> 48 INTRODUCTION TO THE PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> 49 The Board of County Commissioners, under the authority of North Carolina General Statute, appoints <br /> 50 the Orange County Planning Board (OCPB)to uphold the written land development law of the County. <br /> 51 The general purpose of OCPB is to guide and accomplish coordinated and harmonious development. <br /> 52 OCPB shall do so in a manner, which considers the present and future needs of its citizens and <br /> 53 businesses through efficient and responsive process that contributes to and promotes the health,safety, <br /> 54 and welfare of the overall County. The OCPB will make every effort to uphold a vision of responsive <br /> 55 governance and quality public services during our deliberations, decisions, and recommendations. <br />
