Tempia, ext. 2579 <br /> Attachment 2: Comprehensive Plan Land Use TELEPHONE NUMBERS: <br /> Committee Information Sheet Hillsborough 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill 968-4501 <br /> Durham 688-7331 <br /> Mebane (336) 227-2031 <br /> PURPOSE: To discuss the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Committee (CPLUC). <br /> BACKGROUND: This item is continued from the April 3, 2002 BOCC Work Session. <br /> Attachment 1: Comprehensive Plan Land Use Element Process and Schedule describes in <br /> detail the 8 steps that will be undertaken during this process. The attachment does do not indicate <br /> dates for the steps because the BOCC will determine when each step should occur. Key points of <br /> the process include: <br /> • The CPLUC will begin meeting at the BOCC's discretion. <br /> • The Small Area Plan Committees (SAPC)will begin after the BOCC has heard the results of <br /> CPLUC meetings and established the committees. <br /> • The Community Outreach meetings will begin after the BOCC has heard the results of the <br /> SAPC meetings and approved the meeting details. <br /> • Presentations to the BOCC at the various progress points. <br /> • The dates for each step have not been assigned. <br /> Attachment 2: Comprehensive Plan Land Use Committee Information Sheet illustrates the <br /> Boards and Commissions as well as staff that will be involved with the CPLUC. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: None at this time. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Administration recommends that the Board establish the eight- <br /> member Comprehensive Plan Land Use Committee with 2 members from Board of County <br /> Commissioners, and 1 member from the Planning Board, Board of Health and Environmental <br /> Health, Commission for Environment, Agriculture Preservation, Water Resource Committee, and <br /> Economic Development Committee. <br />
