1 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br /> Meeting Date: December 13, 2022 <br /> Action Agenda <br /> Item No. 8-j <br /> SUBJECT: Change in BOCC Meeting Schedule for 2023 <br /> DEPARTMENT: Board of Commissioners <br /> ATTACHMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: <br /> Revised Text Calendar <br /> Revised Color Calendar Laura Jensen, Clerk to the Board, 919- <br /> 245-2130 <br /> PURPOSE: To consider changes to the Board of Commissioners' meeting calendar for 2023. <br /> BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County <br /> Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change <br /> in the Meeting Schedule. <br /> It is proposed that the BOCC Retreat scheduled for January 20, 2023 be rescheduled to <br /> February 24, 2023. The meeting will be held at the Solid Waste Management Facility in Chapel <br /> Hill and will begin at 9:00 a.m. There are no other proposed changes to the Board of <br /> Commissioners' 2023 meeting calendar. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated <br /> with this item. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its meeting calendar <br /> for 2023 and move the BOCC Retreat originally scheduled for January 20, 2023 to February <br /> 24, 2023, and to hold the meeting at the Solid Waste Management Facility in Chapel Hill. <br />
