Animal Services has received $12,000 from Community Giving Fund donations for its Free- <br /> Roaming Cat Initiative. These funds will be used to provide activities to address the free- <br /> roaming cat issue within Orange County. This budget amendment provides for this <br /> appropriation in the General Fund. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Housing Department <br /> 7. Continuum of Care — Rapid Rehousing: In the 2021 Continuum of Care competition, the <br /> U.S. Department of Housing and Urban (HUD) awarded Orange County $161,920 for the <br /> Rapid Re-housing program that provides financial assistance and case management for <br /> people exiting homelessness. These funds will support two existing time-limited Rapid Re- <br /> housing Case Managers.
