She said it was likely that his first term expired in December 2019, <br /> 13 but that his reappointment was not brought to the Board until a few months later. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 8. Orange County Parks and Recreation Council —Appointment Discussion <br /> 16 The Board discussed an appointment to the Orange County Parks and Recreation Council. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 BACKGROUND: The Orange County Parks and Recreation Council consults with and advises <br /> 19 the Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation, and the Board of County <br /> 20 Commissioners on matters affecting parks planning, development and operation; recreation <br /> 21 facilities, policies and programs; and public trails and open space. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 The Board of County Commissioners appoints all 12 members with representatives from each <br /> 24 of the county's townships plus its municipalities. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 The following individual is recommended for Board consideration: <br /> NAME POSITION DESCRIPTION TYPE OF EXPIRATION <br /> APPOINTMENT DATE <br /> TERM <br /> Sophia Fratta Youth Member First Full Term 12/31/2025 <br /> (non-voting) <br /> 27 <br /> 28 If the individual listed above is appointed, no vacancies remain. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Tara May introduced the item.
