Carrboro Board of Adjustment—Appointment Discussion <br /> 11 The Board discussed an appointment to the Carrboro Board of Adjustment. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 BACKGROUND: The Carrboro Board of Adjustment shall hear and decide appeals from any <br /> 14 order, decision, requirement, or interpretation made by the administrator, applications for <br /> 15 special use permits, applications for variances, applications for special exception permits, <br /> 16 questions involving interpretation of the zoning map, including disputed district boundary lines <br /> 17 and lot lines, applications for major subdivisions containing between five and twelve lots, and <br /> 18 any other matters the board is required to act upon by any other town ordinance. <br /> 19 The Board of County Commissioners appoints two (2) members residing in the Extraterritorial <br /> 20 Jurisdiction (ETJ) or the Joint Planning Transition Area. It educates public <br /> 36 and local officials on environmental issues and performs special studies and projects.
