She said an 11-member council was a more <br /> 9 manageable size. <br /> 10 Commissioner Richards asked if it is saying take the elected members out. <br /> 11 Commissioner Greene said no. <br /> 12 Commissioner Richards asked if the recommendations of the executive committee were <br /> 13 voted upon. <br /> 14 Ashley Heger said that the way the council operates is through a consensus-based <br /> 15 model, but the elected officials retain majority power, and these recommendations were voted <br /> 16 upon unanimously. <br /> 17 Chair Price said they would not vote on it at the work session. <br /> 18 Commissioner Bedford thanked Ashley Heger for providing the minutes of the Food <br /> 19 Council. She asked why they moved to every other month meetings. <br /> 20 Ashley Heger said that was considered before COVID. She said by engaging so much, <br /> 21 the volunteers' capacity was stretched.
