She said an 11-member council was a more 9 manageable size. 10 Commissioner Richards asked if it is saying take the elected members out. 11 Commissioner Greene said no. 12 Commissioner Richards asked if the recommendations of the executive committee were 13 voted upon. 14 Ashley Heger said that the way the council operates is through a consensus-based 15 model, but the elected officials retain majority power, and these recommendations were voted 16 upon unanimously. 17 Chair Price said they would not vote on it at the work session. 18 Commissioner Bedford thanked Ashley Heger for providing the minutes of the Food 19 Council. She asked why they moved to every other month meetings. 20 Ashley Heger said that was considered before COVID. She said by engaging so much, 21 the volunteers' capacity was stretched.
