November 1,2022.Octuber31.2023 <br /> Commissioner Richards asked for clarification on if the county has a climate action plan. <br /> Steve Arndt confirmed the county does not have a climate action plan. <br /> Commissioner Richards asked if the one-year time frame was suggested by the <br /> consultant. <br /> Steve Arndt said that it will take that long to develop it and that staff is comfortable with <br /> that timeline. <br /> Commissioner Richards said she liked that all the different goals would be synthesized <br /> into one plan. <br /> Steve Arndt said the consultant would also incorporate the climate action plans of Chapel <br /> Hill and Carrboro. <br /> Commissioner Richards asked him how he would respond to some of the comments that <br /> the plan would be boilerplate. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said that there will be strong community engagement in the <br /> development of the climate action plan. She said that Amy Eckberg, the Sustainability Manager, <br /> would work with the Manager's office and there is sentiment sometimes when outside experts are <br />
