All other <br /> compensation elements are as set forth in the Orange County Code of Ordinances Section 28 — <br /> Personnel. <br /> An annual salary of$165,000 is recommended for Sheriff Charles Blackwood effective December <br /> 1, 2022. Sheriff Blackwood has served as the Orange County Sheriff since December 1, 2014 <br /> and has served within the Orange County Sheriff's Department for over 40 years. This salary <br /> recommendation is commensurate with the Sheriff's extensive qualifications, representative of the <br /> scope of work within Orange County, his devotion and service to Orange County and its residents <br /> and represents an increase comparative to market salaries. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: The financial impact is an increase in annual salary of $13,339. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated <br /> with this item. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve a salary increase <br /> for Sheriff Charles Blackwood to $165,000 annually effective December 1, 2022. <br />
