I have found it a valuable experience personally and <br /> professionally as the Executive Director of The Women's Center. <br /> I am writing to request a 6 month leave of absence from my duties on the Commission <br /> for Women. I am currently entering my third trimester of pregnancy with my second <br /> child. In addition,my mother has been seriously ill following a stroke last April. I am <br /> traveling to Winston- Salem most weekends to help care for her.
