Due to the current status of these <br /> entities, the Board may want to consider the need and potential postponement of any interim <br /> assignments to these groups. <br /> Finally, due to a potential conflict of interest, a Board member should be identified to replace <br /> Commissioner Fowler on the Alliance Health Board of Directors. The next Alliance meeting is <br /> scheduled for February 2, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 pm (in person with virtual option). <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal associated with this <br /> item. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board- <br /> 1) <br /> oard:1) approve extending the current boards and commissions assignments until both the <br /> appointment of a new Commissioner and the Board's approval of 2023 assignments occur; <br /> 2) select Board members to serve in the interim on the Durham Tech Board of Trustees and <br /> Go Triangle Board of Trustees; <br /> 3) discuss the need and, as necessary, make any interim assignments to the Strategic <br /> Communications Work Group, the Schools Capital Needs Work Group, the Joint Public <br /> Safety Training Facility Work Group, the Legislative Issues Work Group, and the Small <br /> Business Loan Program; and <br /> 4) select a Board member to serve on the Alliance Health Board of Directors in the interim. <br />
