Call to order: Chair McKnight called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. <br /> 2. Chair Comments/Introductions: None <br /> 3. Considerations of Additions to Agenda: None <br /> 4. Meeting Summary/Minutes: Since the minutes were not included in the email package that <br /> staff provided, the approval will be deferred until the next APB meeting. <br /> 5. Items for Decision: <br /> a) New VAD/EVAD Applications (Attachment 3): Perrin presented the current application now <br /> pending. This farm meets the requirements/criteria for VAD/EVAD enrollment, conditional <br /> upon BOCC approval for our proposed ordinance revisions which will eliminate the <br /> requirement that 2/3 of any farm be classified as having prime soils. <br /> • Larry and Jeanne Crabtree: 14.46 acres (VAD), Caldwell Ag District, one parcel in <br /> corn and soybeans. Motion to approve by McAdams moved to approve, seconded <br /> by Myers; motion approved. <br /> • Jennifer Noah: 14.46 acres (VAD), Caldwell Ag District: one parcel in wheat, corn and <br /> soybeans. Hooten moved to approve, seconded by Woods; motion approved. <br /> • Richard and Jamie Holcomb/Coon Rock Farm: 42.77 acres (VAD), New Hope Ag <br /> District (updated application): three parcels in vegetables and timber. Saiers moved <br /> to approve, seconded by Woods; motion approved. <br /> 6. Discussion Items: <br /> a) Feedback from BOCC at presentation of Annual Report: <br /> Chair McKnight appeared before the BOCC on April 14 with staff to present a brief overview <br /> of our annual report and work plan, which was well received by the Commissioners. <br /> McKnight also provided an overview of the initial work by our Farmland Preservation <br />
