Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution to release motor vehicle property tax values for seven (7) <br /> taxpayers with a total of seven (7) bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution to release property tax values for seventeen (17) taxpayers <br /> with a total of nineteen (19) bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> d. Late Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> The Board approved six (6) untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> taxation for six (6) bills for the 2022 tax year. <br /> e. Approval of Board of Commissioners Meeting Calendar for Year 2023 <br /> The Board considered the approval of the meeting schedule for the Board of <br /> Commissioners for calendar year 2023. <br /> f. Grant of an Easement to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) <br /> Related to the 1-40/1-85 Widening Project <br /> The Board authorized the sale of an easement to NCDOT to assist in the widening of 1-40/1- <br /> 85, authorized the Asset Management Services Department to prepare or review all <br /> necessary documentation to complete this transaction, and authorized the Chair to execute <br /> the easement and other required documents. <br /> g. Boundary Line Agreement with the Efland Volunteer Fire Department <br /> The Board authorized the execution of a Boundary Line Agreement to clarify the location of <br /> the boundary line between property owned by Orange County and property owned by the <br /> Efland Volunteer Fire Department. <br /> 9. County Manager's Report <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said the S. Greensboro parking lot in Carrboro will be closed <br /> beginning October 17th to begin construction of the 203 Project, which includes the southern <br /> branch library. She said alternative parking lots are located around town, and the Town of <br /> Carrboro encourages residents and visitors to go to townofcarrboro.org/parking for more <br /> information. She said there will also be signage posted to direct to other parking areas. She <br /> said the Community Relations Department will be sending out information to county residents <br /> about this the following day. <br /> 10.
