The report's purpose is to share community expertise and recommendations to help <br /> shape future decisions related to food access in Orange County, NC. <br /> Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Agreement Renewal <br /> In 2019, Orange County, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, and Carrboro began an interlocal agreement <br /> process to jointly fund a full-time staff position for the Orange County Food Council. The original <br /> MOU was signed by all parties in early 2019, and the Food Council Coordinator was hired in <br /> July 2019. The existing MOU was meant to be reviewed after two years. The Food Council's <br /> Executive Committee recommends a renewal with some updates to the agreement. Staff will <br /> provide an overview of the 2019 process and a summary of the Executive Committee's current <br /> recommendations for the MOU agreement renewal. <br /> Staff has submitted a request to each jurisdiction to provide an annual presentation and a report <br /> for the suggested MOU renewal. Each jurisdiction has received the redlined MOU and annual <br /> report materials. The Towns of Hillsborough and Carrboro received presentations from staff in <br />
