<br /> Fire Districts
<br /> 3. The Orange Rural Fire Department has requested $20,000 to be drawn from the district's
<br /> available, unassigned fund balance. The funds will be used to reprogram portable and
<br /> mobile radios to use the VIPER radio system, replace the department's drone, and
<br /> purchase roadway barricades to increase scene safety. With this appropriation,
<br /> approximately $45,000 remains in the district's unassigned fund balance. This amendment
<br /> increases the appropriation of Fund Balance in the Fire District Fund, outside the General
<br /> Fund. (See Attachment 2.)
<br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is
<br /> applicable to this item:
<br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY
<br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries,
<br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence.

<br /> 4. At the October 20, 2022 meeting of the CHCCS Board of Education, the Board approved
<br /> the transfer of $1,000,000 from the Roofing Capital Project to the Technology Capital
<br /> Project. These funds were inadvertently appropriated during the annual Capital
<br /> Improvement Plan process and will be used to refresh staff computer devices. This
<br /> reallocates funds within the School Capital Fund outside the General Fund and amends
<br /> the following capital ordinances: (See Attachment 3.)
