2 <br /> The Board had also discussed adding students to the list of proposed members. As a result, two <br /> student representatives from each school district have been added to the proposed composition. <br /> The draft charge, composition, and timeline is provided as Attachment 1. <br /> Assuming the Board establishes an application process for public participation, the Clerk's Office <br /> will begin soliciting membership applications for a pool of applicants for the Board to review and <br /> make formal appointments. <br /> The County Manager's Office will secure a facilitator to guide the Task Force's efforts. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated <br /> with this item. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board: <br /> 1) Approve the charge, composition, and timeline of the Schools Safety Task Force as <br /> detailed in Attachment 1; <br /> 2) Authorize the County Manager's Office to secure a facilitator to guide the Task Force's <br /> efforts and approve the use of up to $10,000 from the Commissioners' Contingency line <br /> item to fund the facilitator; and <br /> 3) Appoint two (2) Commissioners to serve on the Task Force. <br />
