Margaret Lane <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Re: Proposal for Inundation Mapping <br />RFQ 5285 Lake Orange Erosion Control Barrier Replacement <br />Dear Mr. Sandt: <br />Alpha & Omega Group is very pleased to offer professional engineering services for this project. <br />The details of our proposal are outlined in the following sections. <br />Project Understanding <br />Orange County is in need of updating its Emergency Action Plan (EAP) to meet the current Dam <br />Safety Requirements. Orange County is seeking professional engineering services for developing <br />the inundation model and mapping in accordance with current North Carolina Dam Safety <br />requirements for EAPs. <br />Scope of Services <br />The items included in our scope of service are as described below: <br />1.Develop downstream inundation modeling and mapping for the Lake Orange Dam, a <br />High-Hazard (Class C), intermediate-sized dam located in Orange County, North Carolina. <br />2.The model will be developed per Tier 2-intermediate study requirements as defined in <br />Table 10-6 of FEMA’s “Federal Guidelines for Inundation Mapping of Flood Risks <br />Associated with Dam Incidents and Failures” (FEMA P-946) <br />3.Develop AutoCAD or ArcGIS maps and electronic files displaying the extents/results of the <br />downstream inundation modeling in compliance with FEMA P-946. <br />Owner’s Responsibilities <br />1.Owner to prepare the EAP using the current Template provided by NC Dam Safety. <br />Attachment 1 - Project ScopeDocuSign Envelope ID: A8429470-1C83-431F-B5B8-6113AD7F0658
