1 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br /> Meeting Date: November 10, 2022 <br /> Action Agenda <br /> Item No. 6 <br /> SUBJECT: Carrboro Board of Adjustment — Appointment Discussion <br /> DEPARTMENT: Board of Commissioners <br /> ATTACHMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: <br /> Member and Applicant Summary Sheet Clerk's Office, 919-245-2130 <br /> Application of Person for Re-Appointment <br /> Membership Roster <br /> Applicant Interest List <br /> No applicants at this time <br /> PURPOSE: To consider an appointment to the Carrboro Board of Adjustment. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Carrboro Board of Adjustment shall hear and decide appeals from any <br /> order, decision, requirement, or interpretation made by the administrator, applications for special <br /> use permits, applications for variances, applications for special exception permits, questions <br /> involving interpretation of the zoning map, including disputed district boundary lines and lot <br /> lines, applications for major subdivisions containing between five and twelve lots, and any other <br /> matters the board is required to act upon by any other town ordinance. <br /> The Board of County Commissioners appoints two (2) members residing in the Extraterritorial <br /> Jurisdiction (ETJ) or the Joint Planning Transition Area.
