7 <br /> the Parks and Recreation understand the importance of our effects on nature and its <br /> Council: effects on us: the former, through research conducted through <br /> NCSSM's Summer Ventures program, a free program for <br /> academically talented students in North Carolina, and through <br /> my exploration of sustainability, which earned me the title of <br /> Borlaug Scholar and Student Delegate in the 2022 Global <br /> Youth Institute organized by the World Food Prize foundation; <br /> the latter, through personal exploration into the biophilia <br /> hypothesis for essays which have been recognized on a <br /> regional level. I hope to combine these interests in nature and <br /> sustainability with my experiences as a community builder <br /> through the Parks and Recreation Council. <br /> Please explain why you Exposure to nature has been proven to have beneficial effects <br /> would like to serve on the in people in a variety of ways, from emotional health to pain <br /> Parks and Recreation tolerance.
