The PSC also met on <br /> October 14, 2022 to consider and provide a recommendation specific to Chapel Hill Transit's <br /> request to add additional funding for the North-South Bus Rapid Transit (N-S BRT) project. The <br /> PSC recommended using a portion of accumulated End of Year Fund Balance to add $15M, over <br /> 20-years, beginning in FY 2027 and to reflect the additional funding in the Transit Plan Update. <br /> Attachment 2 is a revised financial summary that incorporates the additional funding through FY <br /> 2040. <br /> Orange County Transit Plan Staff Working Group (SWG) Recommendation: At its October 19, <br /> 2022 meeting, the SWG unanimously recommended adoption of the draft 2022 Transit Plan <br /> Update by all parties and to include the additional funding for N-S BRT, consistent with the <br /> recommendation provided by the PSC. <br /> OUTBoard Recommendation: At its October 19, 2022 meeting, the OUTBoard unanimously <br /> recommended BOCC adoption of the draft 2022 Transit Plan Update to include the additional <br /> funding for N-S BRT, consistent with the recommendation provided by the PSC. <br /> Adoption Process and Next Steps: <br /> Orange County: <br /> • PSC recommendations (5/20/22 & 10/14/22, Complete) <br /> • SWG recommendation (10/19/22, Complete) <br /> • OUTBoard Recommendation (10/19/22, Complete) <br /> • BOCC Public Hearing and possible action (11/1/22) <br /> • BOCC agenda item, if needed for action (11/15/22) <br /> DCHC MPO: <br /> • Technical Committee recommendation to release draft for public comment (9/28/22) <br /> (Complete) <br /> • Board consideration to release draft for public comment (10/12/22) <br /> (Complete) <br /> • Technical Committee recommendation (11/16/22) <br /> • Board adoption consideration (12/14/22) <br /> GoTriangle: <br /> • Planning and Land Use Committee recommendation (TBD) <br /> • Board adoption consideration (TBD) <br />
