Pre-K numbers are now tracked in the SAPFO <br /> report <br /> iii. Bonnie: special set-asides and special settings aren't <br /> included in SAPFO either <br /> iv. Bonnie: SAPFO doesn't predict school replacement — <br /> both districts are facing declining enrollment so don't <br /> need new capacity but about when we need maintenance <br /> and school replacements <br /> 1. Jean: let's get the capacity correct(including pre- <br /> K, Mebane, etc.) and then <br /> maintenance/replacement is outside of SAPFO <br /> c. Patrick: as people in Hillsborough look at SAPFO reports it <br /> looks like we have plenty of seats and are open to development, <br /> same with Mebane,but there are developments in queue that are <br /> filling seats that aren't included in the SAPFO reports <br /> i. Carrie: adding Pre-K numbers is also about adding different <br /> space—same with special setting students <br /> e. Eric: Eric reviewed OC construction settings and classroom size <br /> numbers have changed dramatically from DPI (DPI #s are <br /> smaller than OC construction standards) <br /> i. Are we going to look at class size, and what is a <br /> reasonable time frame to review <br /> 1. Perdita: hasn't changed for many years but DPI <br /> standards are included in the SAPFO #s <br /> a. Capacity goes down as DPI updates their <br /> standards <br /> ii. When we reduce the size of the school with same # of <br /> kids we're running out of room <br />
