Orange County Schools Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance (SAPFO) <br /> Discussion—Orange County Planning and Inspections <br /> a. Perdita Holtz from OC Planning and Inspections shared a <br /> presentation explaining the purpose, administration, and history <br /> of SAPFO <br /> b. Patrick Abele <br /> i. For OCS, Mebane is not a participant of the SAPFO <br /> process or MOUs and OCS is facing a tremendous <br /> amount of growth from the part of the county — those <br /> students aren't considered until they come to school <br /> 1. There are other mechanisms the schools are <br /> having to use in addition to SAPFO <br /> 2. OCS approved spot ordinances for some new <br /> developments in that part of the county — will <br /> have to update GIS maps, etc. since advertised as <br /> districted in OC <br /> a. Send updates to new Planning Director, <br /> Perdita, and Brian Carson <br /> 3. Travis — we've had discussions with Mebane to <br /> be a part of SAPFO—they are reluctant to be tied <br /> to the CAPS process but send us their numbers <br /> a. If capacity didn't exist in district, <br /> wouldn't approve the development <br /> 4. Jean— would be helpful to put the Mebane data <br /> into our model so we know ahead of time what's <br /> happening and when we need to build new <br />
