Since that time I have been very involved with 12 step <br /> recovery programs, non-profit recovery programs, and work as a Peer Support Specialist. <br /> Although it is unfortunate that I struggled with Drugs from the age of 12-25years, that lived <br /> experience is invaluable to this work <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I would like to see these funds have the greatest impact possible, and would like to assist in <br /> solutions that would have a positive affect on as many Orange County Residents as possible <br /> Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br /> I don t know how many people with lived experience will serve, however, this is very important. <br /> For example, I witnessed how addicts came up with solutions for Harm Reduction that were not <br /> suggested by the traditional Health Services community.
