Equal <br /> • Historical markers are a compelling Initiative <br /> tool that can help create a permanent <br /> record of racial terror violence and <br /> expose an entire community to our <br /> shared history of racial injustice. <br /> Slide #3 <br /> Historical Marker Overview <br /> • Through EJl's Community <br /> Remembrance Project, EJI sponors <br /> historical marker projects, with each i• <br /> marker valued at about 3000 each . } <br /> including fabrication and shipment. . <br /> • EJI works with local Community �. <br /> Remembrance Coalitions made up of ; <br /> diverse members of their community to <br /> facilitate these projects. <br /> Steve Arndt said including the cost of the marker and $5,000 in scholarship money for <br /> an essay contest, EJI total contribution for the marker is $8,000. <br />
