s <br /> ORANGE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 3 <br /> LAND-USE ELEMENT PROCESS AND SCHEDULE <br /> Step 1 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) <br /> Date: April 3, 2002 <br /> Where: Southern Human Services Center <br /> Purpose: <br /> • To hear a report on the growth management challenges of the County <br /> • To formally establish the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Committee (CPLUC) <br /> • To present background on current land use conditions and analysis of countywide <br /> development trends, <br /> • To discuss growth projection scenarios, and <br /> • To develop various options and tools available are discussed. <br /> Meeting Content <br /> • Staff will review of the Guiding Principles <br /> • Staff will report on the growth management challenges of the County, a more <br /> elaborate discussion of the Power Point material presented at the February 25, <br /> 2002 informational meeting <br /> • No policy decisions are being suggested, just hypothetical scenarios. <br /> • No policy decisions are made until the end of process. <br /> Outcome: Establish eight-member Comprehensive Plan Land Use Committee with 2 <br /> members from Board of County Commissioners, and one member from the Planning <br /> Board, Board of Health and Environmental Health, Commission for Environment, <br /> Agriculture Preservation, Water Resource Committee, and Economic Development <br /> Committee <br />
